3 Orange Glowing Oak Leaves in Snow and Ice

The complimentary colour palette of the glowing orange of the 3 oak leaves and the cool blue of the cast shadows make for an exciting nature still life image. I enhanced the colour of the warm glowing light coming through the semi transparent oak leaves as well as the cool shadows on the snow.

This image I shot on a walk around our neighbourhood after the infamous Dec 2013 ice storm. It caused a lot of devastation but there was also beauty to be found, such as the textures and light in this oak tree leaf trio that had fallen and were trapped in the snow and ice.
